Nothing Special

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been updating as much as I originally intended, it's just hard focusing on this and fashion as well as my school work at the same time. I also have to do laundry... my outfits have been lacking lately! Anyway, here's a few pictures from a couple days ago. There's also a shot of my nails that I promised!

I think ill probably dye it brown after Halloween, I need my red hair for my David Bowie costume!



I also want to make/find an electric blue skirt to wear with my gray AA shirt. I feel like it would look great. I also want to make some really neat accessories with the new techniques I've been learning in my fibers class. (Netting, crocheting, coiling...)

Chinatown Weekend and Gilgamesh

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. My parents came to visit on Saturday and they took me to Chinatown for some dinner. I had a fantastic meal and got this little purse... I think I need to venture into Philly's Chinatown more. I really think there are tons of gems there waiting to be found. Plus the food is great and really cheap. I always make plans to get down there but I never do. I'll just stay here in the ghetto I guess.

I also spent most of the weekend at my boyfriend's house a few blocks away. It was great! I asked him to take a lot of fashion pictures so hopefully I'll get those developed from my film camera soon. We also went down to Center City for a bit. I had to get a new charger for my mac. Mine wasn't working anymore for some reason... it's all better now though! We also went to the Rittenhouse farmer's market again. I feel like this is becoming a weekly thing. I made us stop into MAC on the way back. (I love how I talk about both "mac's" in this post. Mac computers and MAC makeup. LOL) Anyway, I fell in love with so many things but I had to leave. I'm pretty much broke right now. It was a stretch for me to buy a bottle of nail polish and a copy of vogue without getting guilty after.

Also, I should be writing an essay right now on Gilgamesh, but I feel like this is a lot more fun.


If I finish this essay I'll update with my new nail polish later. I definitely have a date with some purple nail polish later.

Crochet Coquette

Can't get enough of crocheting lately! I hope I can finish this scarf I've been working on before the cold starts here in Philly. The weather here has been hot and rainy. Two things I hate!


The white yarn is to be a big scarf while the blue yarn is going to be a blanket! I kind of want to make a hat at some point. Maybe some sweet accessories.

Black to my roots

I've really been into black lately and I'm not sure why. Maybe my 6th grade gothic, Hot Topic, anime nerd personality is showing through again.






I love her hair. I am trying to style mine similar but it just ends up looking weird. Damn curly hair to all hell.

Call me crazy but I think the dark, black, lipstick look that seems to be increasingly popular is totally great. I really want to get some of my own but I'm having trouble committing and telling myself it will be versatile or even semi-wearable. MAC's new line of Venomous Villains lipstick seem to be what I'm looking for. Dark, but in taste. I like Violetta and Dark Deed the best. Maybe once I have some extra money I'll order some! I'm a lipstick hoarder so why not just add more to my collection? LOL



I wish I could screw everything and just start dressing like the beloved Robert Smith.

I'm wearing an American Apparel shirt, Eddie Bauer shorts and Urban Outfitters skinny leather belt.

I used to work at Eddie Bauer so I got a great deal on clothes for a while. Eddie Bauer had a dress code about short shorts. These red shorts were originally really long shorts that I had hemmed after I quit. They are definitely more wearable and less matronly now.

I am a photography major and hope to one day join the fashion photography field. I've always been interested in fashion and photography as well as art.
